Detail Design:

  • Motor implementation

The linear actuator is fixed on the two supports with a rotational joint, thanks to the motor actuator bar with its changing in radius.

The mechanism works exactly like the crane model:

 

  • Motor Acutating Bar

From the production point of view, the motor actuator bar is thought to be separated from the system.

  • Adjustable length

A rotational foot support is designed to discharge part of the weight onto the ground. Moreover, the addition of an adjustable part allows the customer to adapt the actuator with their own leg.

The first picture shows a rough length control system with a discrete step of 2cm, while the second picture shows a supplementation to realize more accurate length control between two steps.

Safety Design:

  • Self locking angle

Our exoskeleton device is designed to work in a limited range of angle to avoid injuries, thanks to the control of the elongation of the linear actuator, and also through our safety design. The thigh support is blocked when it reaches the standing position by an imposed control of the lower knee support.

  • Protecting layer

The protecting layer is the white part which was made in order to limit the four-bars system away from a certain distance of the knee.

  • Protection box

The protection box was thought to cover the mechanism inside, not only to prevent injuries to the knee but also to protect the system itself from the outside surroundings.
